A "Psychic" is simply a person that uses their intuition to answer a question or recieve impressions about a topic.

A "Psychic Medium" is a person like Patricia Archette's Character (Allisson DuBois) on the television show "Medium," where as they have the abiliy to see and hear information from souls or spirits on the other side. The medium then passes this information on to the person in the session to benefit their lives.

The information is usually very personal and specific to the individual having the session, and relies on their interpretation and memory. This makes the experience unique and interactive.
